This wagon has a long wheelbase, air brakes (discs), BR FAT Type 7 suspension with 4 leaf bruninghaus springs. It was converted by BR to its present form of a side stake timber wagon (principally for forest products) with high end bulkheads. This type of vehicle was in use in Scotland until recently from Crianlarich and Arrochar terminals to Shotton and Chirk.
English, Welsh and Scottish Railway (EWS) generously donated 110349 for preservation in token of the importance of the railway's long standing timber traffic. The photograph shows the wagon after a repaint at Bo'ness which eliminated its previous well run appearance.
