SRPS Core Collection.

This van is based on an LMSR design, which in turn was derived from a CR design. The Shark plough brake was used in conjunction with ballast hopper wagons such as the Dogfish also in the collection. Moving at slow speed, the train would drop a carefully-regulated flow of ballast into the "four foot" space between the running rails, to be spread evenly by the plough mounted on the underside of the Shark.
